Paris Jackson reveals why she edited a photo with her deceased dad that sparked a wave of criticism
Paris Jackson is having to explain why she posted a photo of her with her parents. As AmoMama reports, the model posted a photo with her parents hugging her as reported by The Inquisitr.
Paris Jackson lost her dad, Micheal Jackson, when she was only 11, and so she naturally wonders how it would be to have him in her life. On Tuesday, the model posted an edited black-and-white photo on Twitter that shows her dad, Michael Jackson, and biological mother, Debbie Rowe, with her in the middle. As NY Daily News reported, the post was originally crafted by an Instagram user with the handle @krafty_mj_stuff and it must have resonated well with Paris who reposted it.
Jackson and Rowe got divorced when their daughter was still pretty young, leaving her in the care of her dad. When he passed on, Paris had a hard time dealing with the situation and even attempted suicide at one point. She and her siblings were left in the care of their grandmother, Katherine Jackson. When she gave a speech at her father’s memorial service, then 11-year-old Paris called her father “the best father you could ever imagine,” before breaking down in the arms of her aunt Janet Jackson.
Rowe, a former dermatology nurse, is also the mother of Paris’ brother, Prince, and they had been estranged until 2016. The model posts photos of the two of them together once in a while, showing that they are making attempts to improve their relationship.
While some twitter fans declared Paris’ photo “creepy,” some thought it was her idea of reconnecting with her parents. She tweeted;
“No, I think it’s nice to dream about what it would be like to have parents and to have it put into something I can see, even it’s a fan-made edit.”
