John McCain's daughter shares the latest update on dad's health after his emergency surgery
John McCain had to have surgery recently due to the illness that he’s battling. His office announced that he had undergone surgery to treat an intestinal infection related to diverticulitis.
But since then, his daughter, Meghan McCain, has shared how he’s doing. John had the surgery on April 15, 2018, while his daughter made her update on April 17, 2018, according to Entertainment Daily.
On Monday a statement was released by John’s office that shared that he has been participating in physical therapy at his home in Cornville, Arizona. The therapy is to help him as he recovers from the side effects of his cancer treatment.
Despite his illness, the statement revealed that he has remained engaged in his work as Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. But he’s also enjoyed frequent visits from his family, friends, staff, and Senate colleagues.
The statement ended by saying that the McCain family was grateful to the Senator’s excellent care team. It added that they appreciated the support and prayers they had received from people all over the country.
‘My father @SenJohnMcCain is in stable condition - he continues to inspire me everyday with his intense grit and determination.’
