Carrie Underwood reportedly confessed how scary injury impacted her marriage
They say every cloud has a silver lining. Carrie Underwood’s accident may have been scary, but it did save her marriage, she says. AmoMama brings you this report as originally told by Hollywood Life.
Last year, Carrie Underwood suffered an injury that left her with over 40 stitches on her face and caused her to worry about potential scarring that would have an impact on her face. Well, it turns out that the healing process was beneficial to her and her NHL star Mike Fisher, 37. During the recovery period, she had time for her family and was able to evaluate everything in her life with a fresh eye.
A source told Star magazine that;
“Carrie’s had a lot of time to reflect while recuperating, and she’s come back stronger and wiser. She used to take so much for granted, but now she’s getting back to basics and focusing on what really matters to her: family and music. She and mike were fighting constantly after he decided to come out of retirement. She was angry at first, but then she realized that attitude wasn’t helping anybody.”
Fisher went into retirement at the end of 2017 but then went back to playing actively for the Nashville Predators in 2018. Carrie wasn’t as supportive at first because she thought his retirement would mean more time for them as a family. Fisher explained his need to get back on the ice and Carrie understood. The source said that “giving mike Space to follow his passion has done wonders for their marriage.”
The singer made a comeback on the stage at this year’s ACM Awards with her new single ‘Cry Pretty.’ The audience was supportive and gave a standing ovation for over a minute leaving the country singer emotional. “Thank you for having me,” Carrie said in tears. “I’m still kind of, like, shaky right now. Thank you guys, thank you country radio. Fans, oh my gosh, thank you.”
