Elton John reveals what Prince Harry inherited from Princess Diana
The singer-songwriter, who was a close friend of the late Princess Diana, had known Prince Harry since he was just a child and he believes him and his mother shared great qualities.
Last year in September, many people around the globe commemorated the 20th anniversary of her passing. On the occasion, her devoted friend, John, had some words to celebrate her memory and influence, as he does every year.
As All Cute All The Time reported, the singer-songwriter is proud of the long-lasting legacy Diana left despite tragically leaving this world at the young age of 36. He sees a similar spirit in Diana’s younger son, 33-year-old Prince Harry.
Not only he shares his mother’s somewhat rebellious nature, Harry also chases what most people believe to be lost causes, just as Diana did in her lifetime, according to the artist.
The I’m Still Standing singer recently had the opportunity to write a piece about Harry when the Prince was featured in Time magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People, and he had some beautiful things to say about the future husband of Meghan Markle.
‘I first met an extremely shy and sweet Prince Harry at a private lunch at Kensington Palace, given by his mother, Princess Diana, for Gianni Versace and me many years ago,’ the star wrote.
‘What a joy it has been to see that young boy grow to inherit his mother’s warmth, sense of humor, and courage to stand up and champion the causes he truly believes in,’ the artist continued.
Diana was one of the most adored members of the British Royal Family, not only because of her beauty and charisma. As stated in Biography, not in vain she is still known as the ‘People’s Princess’ for her global humanitarian efforts.
It is obvious that John sees in Harry the light he saw in Diana when the two became friends, and there is no doubt that being raised by her left the kind of warmth to him that makes him very special.
