New photos shared of the latest Royal baby
Prince William and Duchess Kate welcomed to the world their third child on April 23. While they have not shared details about him, people have shared a couple of pictures of him.
According to Telegraph, the little prince, whose name has not been revealed yet, weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and was born exactly at 11:01 a.m. He is the couple’s second son, third child, and became fifth in line to the throne.
After delivering the baby, Kate and William went back to Kensington Palace to rest for a while and to show the baby to their family members. Photographers waited in front of the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital to take pictures of them.
Only a day later, Pippa Middleton, Kate’s sister, went to the couple’s home to meet the baby for the first time.
She might not have been the first one, though, as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle live at Kensington Palace, which means they might have visited them as soon as they arrived from the hospital.
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have not visited the baby yet as they are at Windsor Castle, where Philip is resting after undergoing a hip operation.
Prince Charles, William’s father, released a statement the day after the baby was born pointing out that he and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, were ‘pleased at the news’ and that he was worried because he didn’t know how to ‘keep up’ with them.
No matter how many people ask William or Kate for the baby’s name, the tradition suggests that they will share that information with Elizabeth before doing so with the rest of the world.
Kensington Palace released a statement pointing out that the name would be announced in ‘due course.’ So far, people have been suggesting several names. The public’s favorite is Arthur, but James, Philip, and Albert are also strong suggestions.
A reporter recently told William that he should name the baby Alexander, and William admitted that it was a strong name. All that is left to do is wait for them to reveal the baby’s name.
