The Prince and Princess of Wales's Children Spark Public Discussion over Their Behaviour
What began as a festive family outing quickly turned into a talking point far beyond the church gates.
Over the 2025 holiday season, the Prince and Princess of Wales attended several Christmas-related royal events, bringing along their three children — and the public couldn't look away.

The family of five made headlines during their appearance at the Royal Christmas Morning Service at Sandringham Church, where Prince William and Princess Kate walked hand-in-hand with Prince George, 12; Princess Charlotte, 10; and little Prince Louis, 7.

As cameras rolled and mobile phones filmed every moment, footage of the royal arrival began flooding social media feeds that same morning, with one particular clip stealing the spotlight — and splitting public opinion.

In the now-viral video, Prince William walks alongside his children, greeting a sea of cheering royal watchers. The moment turns adorable — and controversial — when one member of the crowd offers Princess Charlotte a small bouquet, which she accepts gracefully. Seconds later, William is handed a large red Lindt Lindor chocolate ball.

"It's for Louis," someone in the crowd says — and without skipping a beat, Prince Louis swiftly snatches the chocolate from his father's hands, twirling with glee and clutching it tightly to his chest. His beaming grin says it all.
"Yeah, Louis, I thought that might happen," William says with a chuckle, giving his son a playful ruffle on the head.
One bystander later told HELLO! magazine, "Louis snatched it right out of William's hands. He did a little twirl and hugged it. He didn't seem to want to move on. He didn't want to let that one go."

But while many saw a sweet, cheeky moment from the youngest royal, others saw something entirely different — and let their views be known.

"If he was my child he would have to give that back, so rude not what you expect from your child 🤔," one person fumed online. "At 7 years old, a child is expected to understand rules and appropriate behavior. Not knowing them at this age is an issue. He is no longer a toddler," another wrote. "Agree. He's rude and spoilt," a third bluntly stated.

However, not everyone was in a hurry to criticize.
"He's 7 years old. Any parent knows that emotions in children are high on holidays and things like this happen," one fan argued, defending the young prince.

The discussion quickly spiraled, with some questioning why the royal children receive gifts from the public at all, given their immense privilege and wealth.
"I can t understand why people give them gifts as they have at home everything they want whike the world if full of children who dont know the taste of chocolate. These gifts are nothing compared to what they have, they will probably forget about them [sic]," one user posted.
But others defended the tradition."It's tradition and it makes the people happy. It's all in the spirit of Christmas, and most of it gets passed onto charity. The people line up for hours for the opportunity to see them and engage with them. Look how happy everyone is," one commenter explained.

Indeed, many were charmed by the family's warmth and presence.
"Those boys are very polite and will do well when it's their turn to be kings ❤️ Merry Christmas to them all 🎅🎄," one fan gushed. "George is so confident lately! Love them! 😍" another posted. "Absolutely delightful young lady, Princess Charlotte is turning out to be. Prince William looks like a proud father," someone else wrote.
And the Princess of Wales and her mini-me Charlotte had fans buzzing earlier that week as well — with the pair stunning viewers in a surprise piano duet on Christmas Eve.
The festive video was shared just weeks after another family outing where the royal children once again stole the show with coordinated outfits, confident smiles, and a striking sense of presence.
As we previously reported, Princess Kate marked a major milestone on 5 December 2025 when she hosted her fifth annual "Together at Christmas" carol concert at Westminster Abbey. But it was her children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — who stole the spotlight.
The outing was the first full-family appearance from the royal brood in six months, their last being the Trooping of the Colour in June.
Kate arrived at the Abbey ahead of the rest of her family, later joined by her husband, William, and their kids.
The young royals, once toddlers in the public eye, arrived looking every bit more grown up, coordinated in elegant blue ensembles. Standing beside their mother — who wore a jewel-toned green Catherine Walker coat — they cut a striking picture against the historic backdrop of the Abbey.
The event, held in honour of those making a difference in their communities, continued as planned despite the unexpected withdrawal of guest performer Hannah Waddingham.
It was also yet another example of the Kate and William's careful balance between royal duty and family life. A palace source previously told People that their approach is deeply intentional, stating, "A lot of it is the stabilizing normality Kate brings — and that's how she grew up. William absolutely loves it."
Later that evening, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a video montage from the concert on Instagram.
The post, captioned, "Together at Christmas 2025 💖🎄🎀 A wonderful evening at Westminster Abbey, welcoming some of the most inspiring people making a difference in the lives of others," offered a glimpse into the atmosphere of the night — warm, festive, and deeply heartfelt.
The royal family's appearance quickly sparked admiration online, with netizens sharing their thoughts on the event — and the children in particular.
"Beautiful family! The children are getting so big! ♥️" said one person, while another typed, "Beautiful family princess Charlotte is growing up and taller gorgeous all of them ❤️ [sic]."
Several comments highlighted how much the children have changed. "The evening was lovely, I loved it. Kate, with her elegance and simplicity, made everything perfect: the decorations, the participants, and what can I say about the children? They were all impeccable, how they've grown! Louis [sic]," shared one.
Prince George's transformation drew particular attention, with one netizen commenting, "Oh my goodness Prince George has grown into a young man before our very eyes ….. 👑 in the making - and Catherine is our Queen of ♥️ [sic]."
Princess Charlotte also sparked a wave of admiration and speculation. "I have a feeling that Charlotte will be the queen: she looks so much like her great-grandmother [sic]," one person said, while another added, "Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter resembles her very much, the same look👑."
One viewer simply exclaimed, "OMG Charlotte is exactly like Queen Elizabeth 😱😱😱." "Charlotte is the queen born again," another person tenderly remarked.
The Wales children may still be young, but with appearances like this — polished yet relaxed, graceful yet entirely age-appropriate — they are quietly stepping into their public roles with confidence and charm.
For royal watchers and the public alike, it was a touching reminder that the little royals we once knew are growing up fast.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, arrived at Westminster Abbey in her signature poised style, walking alongside members of the clergy beneath the warm glow of festive lights. Her emerald coat and relaxed smile set the tone for an evening rooted in celebration and community spirit.

The family's first joint outing in six months saw the young royals looking more grown up than ever, walking confidently alongside their father in a rare public appearance.

Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte stood side by side in matching navy ensembles, their polished looks and composed presence a subtle reflection of how much they've matured. The young princess's white lace collar and bow added a touch of vintage charm, while the little prince kept close with a shy, downcast gaze.

Walking just ahead of their father, Princess Charlotte smiled warmly while holding a red programme, as Prince George kept a focused gaze. Their poised demeanour and smart tailoring offered a rare glimpse into the quietly growing confidence of the next generation of royals.

With Catherine, Princess of Wales, waiting near the gate in her emerald Catherine Walker coat, the rest of the Wales family — led by Princess Charlotte — makes their way toward her. The moment captured a warm, anticipatory energy, as the five gathered ahead of the festive carol service.

Following the evening's service, Catherine, Princess of Wales, walked with Princess Charlotte, while Prince George and William, Prince of Wales, followed closely behind. With candlelight still glowing in the background, the family exited with a sense of calm, dignity, and closeness.
