After he was diagnosed, muscle tissues from his face were removed. Some have also guessed that his baldness is a result of the condition as well.

Although it used to depress him, Seal has come to terms with his condition. He has learned to accept that it is a part of his life. Also, he is said to have learned to love his scars.

According to The Sun, the injuries he gained from the disease are permanent but Seal is fortunately in remission.

The effects of the disease are inflammation and soring.

Up until today, the cause of this genetic condition remains unknown to the public.

Experts have claimed that the cause could be because the immune system in the body mistakenly attacks the normal skin.

A few symptoms of the disease are grazes and scarring on different parts of the body, face, ears, and scalp. There is also a slight chance that the condition can also attack the diagnosed person’s internal organs.

People with the disease use cortisone ointments and shots to decrease the progression of lesions and the appearance of the disease on the body.
