Pregnant woman opens oven to unexpected gift after husband left her for another woman
This pregnant woman had a wonderful life with her husband as they awaited the arrival of their first child, but then he dropped a bombshell on her.
Amanda and her husband had been trying to have a baby for three years when they finally learned she was pregnant. But 8 months into her pregnancy, her husband suddenly announced he was leaving her.
As reported by Liftable, the expectant mother was devastated by the sudden turn of events, and left in an enormous amount of debt with the new home they had just purchased.
Amanda had no income, and was expecting a little one to arrive any day now, and had no idea what she would do to survive and care for her new baby.
That was when her friend Anna stepped in. Realizing her friend was in crisis, Anna decided to write to their local radio station about Amanda's situation, asking for her to be considered for their "Giveback" segment
Fortunately, they immediately recognized Amanda's dire need, and quickly enlisted some local businesses to help them help make her life easier.
They invited Amanda and Anna onto their show, and the devastated divorcee had no idea what was happening. Speaking to the show's hosts, she explained that the worst part of her situation was the uncertainty of her future.
“It’s been about five weeks since it happened,” Amanda said. “And the biggest thing is just the shock, I guess because it wasn’t really what we planned, or what I planned.”
When she was done telling her story, the radio hostess turned to a screen behind her, which showed the interior of Amanda's house.
The camera man who was filming went on a tour throughout Amanda's house, but there were many items inside that the homeowner didn't recognize. These were all gifts that people had given to her to help ease her life.
A vacuum cleaner indicated that she would have free home cleanings for the next 6 months, and the food in her refrigerator was from Eat Fit Food who would be delivering daily meals for the following 3 months.
There was also $4000 worth of baby supplies on the counter for when Amanda welcomed her already much-loved child into the world. A $1000 voucher for baby pictures had also been offered.
But the biggest surprise yet came when the camera man opened Amanda's oven. Inside was $10,000, meaning that Amanda would not have to worry about mortgage payments for a few months!
“It means I don’t have to move now…I can’t thank you enough, I really can’t,” was all a tearful Amanda could say of the wonderful gesture.
