Taylor Swift shares apology letter from Kary Perry after six years of feuding
The biggest names in the world of music might have finally ended their controversial dispute.
Katy Perry has shown a gesture of friendship toward Taylor Swift by sending her an actual olive branch as a symbol of the end of the feud between the two stars, according to a report from BBC.
Swift received the olive branch, which stands as a symbol of peace, after arriving in her dressing room. It even included a note that had words 'miscommunications' and 'deeply sorry' written on it, the source informed.
The Blank Space singer later posted an Instagram story showing the olive branch and admitted in the video clip that the gesture "means so much " to her
The two stars turned against each other in 2014 because of a disagreement regarding the backing dancers. Their dispute later turned into a huge feud with both the artists writing out songs about each other.
It is reported that Swift's Bad Blood is a jibe at Perry while Perry's Swish Swish is an attack on Swift.
In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stones, Swift talked about how a famous female artist tried to "sabotage an entire arena tour" by hiring "a bunch of people out from under" her. She further admitted that it had made them "straight-up enemies."
Although Swift never actually took any names, it was widely believed that she was referring to Perry as the Roar singer quickly took to Twitter to send out her own cryptic message. 'Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing...' Perry wrote.
However, Perry had previously opened up about wanting to end the rife between them on multiple occasions. While speaking to James Corden during a Carpool Karaoke interview, she stated that it was time for Taylor to finish the feud that "she started."
Later, during a 24-hour YouTube live stream prior to the release of her album Witness, Perry declared that she was will to "let it go," admitting that she completely forgave Swift and expected her to do the same.
