'Duck Dynasty' star Missy Robertson asks fans to pray for her daughter

Mia Robertson is one of the most loved members of the Duck Dynasty family, and her story has touched many hearts.

Mia was born in 2003 with a cleft lip and palate, and her parents Missy and Jase have since been seeking medical help to alleviate the defect

The only daughter of the Robertsons underwent several rigorous treatments and surgeries to improve her condition.

Missy has also shared occasional updates about Mia’s progress, and the most recent one was heartbreaking to many fans.

Missy shared a photo of Mia looking smiling, with signs of the cleft still visible. She appeared to be standing in the open during the evening hours, wearing a deep blue t-shirt.

Mia stood with her head tilted and her long hair left open as she clicked the selfie. Missy captioned the photo writing that it had been a particularly rough day for the family.

She wrote that they had visited a lot of doctors, spent a lot of time traveling and had received good and not-so-good news about Mia’s health.

Without revealing too many specifics, she added that her faith in God was as strong as ever and that she considered God to be the Great Physician. The doting mother also mentioned her belief that God would never let Mia down.

She concluded her emotional post by urging fans and followers to pray for her daughter, and by sharing that Mia would have another surgery this summer.

Viewers of Duck Dynasty have seen the struggles of the Robertson family in getting Mia’s condition treated. The eleventh season revealed that she had to be operated for the fifth time.

Little Mia also made a brief speech which reflected her state of mind and her optimistic attitude. A video of the speech shows the listeners, including the close family members, getting emotional as she spoke.
