A Somber Look Under a Relentless Spotlight

Kelly posed solo on the red carpet before later joining her family. She wore a fitted, high-neck gown with a leg slit. The dress featured subtle horizontal ruching and a floor-length silhouette.

She accessorized her look with matching rings, a bracelet, and a silver clutch. Her blonde hair was styled in a straight bob with bangs, and her makeup appeared minimal.

She said, "It is so lovely that his peers and this community that he loved so much is going to be acknowledging him and his work tonight."

She also spoke about how the tragedy has affected her family. "We've experienced the biggest loss we will ever go through, and all we want to do is just live in his legacy," she added.

As online discussion around Kelly's appearance continued, she had already addressed similar reactions months earlier while speaking openly about grief and its effects on her health. In December 2025, Kelly responded directly to critics who questioned her weight and well-being following her father's death.

"I don't even know how to say this, so I'm just gonna say it," she said in a video shared during Sharon's appearance on Piers Morgan "Uncensored."

"To the people who keep thinking they're being funny and mean by writing comments like 'Are you ill?' or 'Get off Ozempic,' [or] 'You don't look right.' My dad just died. And I'm doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family," she shared.

She continued by explaining why she limits what she shares publicly. "I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life, not the miserable side of my life. So to all those people, [expletive] off." The Instagram clip has since been deleted.

Sharon Osbourne publicly supported her daughter's message and addressed the criticism herself. "She's right. She's lost her daddy, she can't eat right now," she said.

A Lifetime Under the Microscope

Over the years, Kelly has spoken openly about insecurities related to her weight, dating back to her teenage years on "The Osbournes."

"I got pulled into the head of the agency's office and he ... gave me a whole speech about how I was too fat for TV and I needed to lose weight, and that if I lost weight, I would look better," she revealed in 2024 on "The Osbournes" podcast. "And he was just saying, 'You're not a movie star, but you could be one if you lost weight.'"

By early 2020, she said she had lost 85 pounds and credited a combination of surgery, exercise, and healthy eating. "Yes, I'm bragging because I worked hard and it feels so good," she wrote on Instagram at the time.

She later explained how the surgery worked for her. "If you don't work out and you don't eat right, you gain weight. All [the surgery] does is move you in the right direction," she said. She added that it helped reduce emotional eating linked to addiction issues.

Her fitness routine during that period included high-intensity interval training paired with cardio. Her trainer, Lacey Stone, said the workouts focused on strength exercises alongside spin classes and other cardio sessions.

Motherhood, Health, and Rumors That Wouldn't Fade

Kelly's weight changed again during her pregnancy in 2022. She later shared that she gained 100 pounds and developed gestational diabetes while expecting her son, Sidney.

She told People that she initially withdrew from public view because she felt ashamed. "I just didn't want pictures out there. I didn't want to face it and have people be like, 'Oh, she's a moose!' So I just cut the problem out," she said.

After giving birth in November 2022, Kelly said she became focused on losing weight, noting that she had been "on a mission after having the baby to lose all [my] baby weight."

"Then I was like, 'Well, I lost all the baby weight. Let's see how far I can go with it. 'And then went a little too far," recounted Kelly.

In 2024, Kelly addressed ongoing rumors that she used Ozempic to lose weight. Speaking with Extra, she denied the claims. "I know everybody thinks I took Ozempic. I did not take Ozempic. I don't know where that came from. My mum took Ozempic," she said.

She explained that her weight loss came from dietary changes following gestational diabetes, which included cutting out sugar and carbohydrates. Kelly also confirmed she underwent skin-tightening treatments after pregnancy.

Later, while speaking at The Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit, Kelly reflected on her long wellness journey. "I tried probably everything that there is out there, whether it be surgery, medication, diet and exercise," she added. "I got my mind where I needed it to be, and everything started to fall into place."
