Jack Osbourne Fights Back Tears While Honoring His Late Father Ozzy on His 77th Birthday – Video
The 40-year-old media personality struggled to hold back tears as he marked his late father Ozzy's milestone, a day that carried both celebration and ache.
Jack Osbourne, the youngest child of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, spoke during a filmed tribute shared on 4 December, reflecting on his father's life and legacy on the day the rock icon would have turned a year older.
The clip, pulled from an episode of "I Am a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" in which Jack is a contestant, showed him growing emotional as he shared the news with the group.
"It's my dad's 77th birthday today," he said, as the mood around the campfire changed and his castmates shared their own reflections on the departed legend, raising their food bowls in a quiet toast to his memory.
Later, while Jack was cleaning up, Martin Kemp gently reminded him that Ozzy had lived fully and left without regret. Jack said he took comfort in knowing his father had been able to say goodbye and had died at home, something he believed many would hope for.
After the clip went public, fans rallied behind Jack, expressing admiration and support. One wrote, “He would be so blooming proud of you Jack you are smashing it.” Another viewer praised his strength and kindness over the years, adding simply, “Everyone’s praying for your family.”
Others admitted the moment brought them to tears. One commented, “That made me cry 😭 poor Jack misses his dad❤️,” while someone else shared, “This made me weep.” A further message read, “He be so so proud of you ❤️❤️[sic].”
Another fan pointed to Jack’s composure in camp, noting, “Well done Jack, the way he didn’t mention it until the end too. 🥹"
The responses to Jack’s moment showed how strongly people continue to feel Ozzy’s absence. Sharon captured that same sentiment in her own tribute, shared earlier on Ozzy's birthday.
She posted a short video showing a nighttime memorial arranged with flowers spelling out “HAPPY BIRTHDAY OZZY,” surrounded by wreaths, candles, and handwritten notes left by fans.
It was set to Ozzy’s “See You on the Other Side,” the song’s lyrics echoing the promise in her caption, which said, “My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born. I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side."
That same sense of devotion carried through in Kelly Osbourne’s tribute. She shared an emotional message for her father’s birthday, reflecting on how strongly she feels his absence and how committed she remains to his memory and legacy.
She ended with, “I love you until eternity! What I would not give to watch you blow out just one more candle.”
The tributes come only months after Black Sabbath legend Ozzy died of heart failure at his Buckinghamshire home on 22 July. His death came just two weeks after he performed a farewell concert with his bandmates at Birmingham’s Villa Park.
The family’s and fans’ grief and devotion are captured in the gallery below, each image reflecting a different facet of the legacy he leaves behind:
