Bobby Norris Looks Unrecognisable After Dramatic Facelift — Fans Stunned by First Post-Surgery Interview
Bobby Norris left "This Morning" viewers gobsmacked after unveiling his post-facelift face on live TV — and many couldn't even recognise the "Towie" star until he opened his mouth. Scroll down to see his transformation for yourself.
Bobby Norris stepped in front of the cameras this week looking dramatically different — and viewers watching at home couldn't quite believe their eyes.
The 39-year-old "The Only Way Is Essex" star appeared on "This Morning" on Wednesday, 29 April, for his first live TV interview since going under the knife in Turkey earlier this year. But rather than a simple nip and tuck, what Norris revealed was a full facial overhaul — one that left the internet doing a double take.
The procedures Norris underwent in March were extensive: a neck and face lift, a lower blepharoplasty, and the removal of buccal fat from his cheeks. In his own words:
"I've had an upper left blepharoplasty — so that's an eyelid surgery — and I had my buccal fat removed from my cheeks, which are fat pads that people have in their cheeks. And then I had a little bit of lipo, and I've had that done under my chin as well, but I'm a completely open book when it comes to things, as I say."
But why a facelift at 39? According to Norris, it was the inevitable consequence of years of cosmetic excess. "I was really abusing fillers and for a ten year window I was going every 12 weeks," he told hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley candidly.
He painted a vivid picture of just how far things had gone, adding, "My lips were in Brentwood. My cheeks were in Chigwell. I was all over the place."
When he eventually decided to remove all his fillers, the skin that was left behind told a sobering story. "Skin is about elasticity and I'd stretched it," he explained. "It's like filling up a balloon for ten years and then one day trying to pop the balloon — it's going to be stretched out and baggy."
With no cream on the market capable of reversing that kind of damage, surgery became the only path forward. "I removed all my fillers so I had to have a facelift," he said plainly, before adding with characteristic self-deprecating humour, "I'm almost correcting my stupidity with the facelift."
A health scare last year also played a significant role in accelerating his decision. Norris had been undergoing extensive testing when a specialist was brought in and delivered a shocking verdict — the underlying issue could potentially kill him within twelve hours.
Rather than dissolve into panic, Norris admitted his first thought was darkly comic: "I can't die. I'm going to Sheesh tonight." But the gravity of the moment lingered.
"At my age you don't expect to hear that," he reflected. "I thought, why am I waiting for my 40s to correct something? Tomorrow ain't guaranteed."
It is not Norris's first time being open about cosmetic work. He had previously spoken about undergoing 360-degree torso liposuction in Turkey after a motorbike collision in London left him unable to exercise.
He was equally candid about that decision, noting that the procedure was not about dramatic weight loss. "Lipo isn't really a weight loss surgery as such. It's not like I've had a gastric band or a balloon, which is more to drop serious size," he said.
Norris was also keen to use his platform to sound a warning about filler dependency. He urged followers to be aware that "although fillers aren't permanent, it's not surgery — there's always a line you can cross".
He added that he refuses to be dishonest with the fans who have followed him for fifteen years, noting, "It's just not achievable through honey and oatmeal scrubs."
When Deeley asked whether he felt he'd now done enough, Norris didn't pretend. "I probably will [have more]," he admitted. "I can't lie and say I wouldn't have any more. I think body dysmorphia is kind of a thing — it's never something that I just rush into."
Viewers watching at home were left stunned. "Don't think it's Bobby," one puzzled fan remarked. "I honestly didn't recognise him 😱," another gasped. "Oh Bobby what have you done," a third lamented.
"Doesn't even look like him anymore!" another viewer exclaimed. The reactions were unrelenting — and unforgiving.
"It's not a facelift, it's a face transplant 😮," one incredulous commenter declared. "If he hadn't spoken, I wouldn't have known it was him," another admitted.
"Are his cheeks swollen? Or is he ment to now look like that [sic]," a third baffled viewer questioned. "I didn't recognize him until he spoke 😐," a fourth noted flatly.
And perhaps most tellingly, someone else noted, "I would never known who he was until he opened his mouth, only that his voice is unique [sic]."
