Davina McCall has quietly tied the knot, bringing a deeply personal close to a year marked by illness, recovery, and resilience. The television presenter is said to have wed on December 5, 2025, in an intimate ceremony attended only by those closest to her.

The event, described as "absolutely beautiful," took place at a small venue near her home in Kent, with just 10 guests present. According to sources, the couple kept the day "very low key," choosing to mark the moment privately before rejoining public life the next day.

McCall exchanged vows with long-time partner Michael Douglas, the celebrity hairdresser who has been by her side throughout her recent health battles. One source said:

"They've been through a huge amount in recent months, with Davina's health, and it just felt right to formalise their marriage. They didn't see the point in waiting."

The newlyweds made their first appearance as husband and wife the following day at a friend's wedding. McCall, 57, proudly wore her wedding ring, quietly acknowledging the milestone. Insiders described the weekend as nothing short of "perfect."

The relationship between McCall and Douglas dates back to late 2018, though their connection was rooted in a deep friendship that began in the early 2000s on the set of "Big Brother," where he worked as her hairdresser.

Their bond turned romantic following McCall's split from her second husband, Matthew Robertson, in 2017. She and Robertson were married for 17 years and have three childrenHolly, Tilly, and Chester. Her first marriage, to Andrew Leggett, lasted less than a year.

By 2023, she and Douglas had moved in together, settling into McCall's £3.5 million home near Tunbridge Wells. Though she had previously dismissed the idea of remarrying, that resolve quietly shifted.

They became engaged and later celebrated their commitment at Burning Man festival in Nevada — though few knew just how serious things had become. It was McCall's brush with mortality that changed everything.

She described how the days before surgery were filled with reflection — not just about her own life, but about the people she might leave behind.

In November 2024, she revealed she had been diagnosed with a "very rare" benign brain tumour, known as a colloid cyst. It had been found during a routine check-up offered through her menopause advocacy work. The condition, she said, affects three in a million, and required surgery.

In the lead-up to the operation, she had frank conversations about death with her partner. She described how she had to let go of fear and confront the possibility that she might not make it through.

"I've been terrified of dying my whole life," she said, referencing the early deaths of her mother, father, and sister. "I thought, 'I have to come to terms with the fact that I might not make it, so what do I have to do to make that okay?'"

Thus, the days before surgery were filled with reflection — not just about her own life, but about the people she might leave behind. One of the most difficult conversations, she revealed, was about her children.

"I said to Michael, 'If I go, I really need you to keep plugged in to the kids and stay in their lives,'" she explained. Douglas had known her children since they were born, and his bond with the family had grown through decades of friendship and trust. McCall said:

"He's part of our DNA. We were both scared, but we were honest and told each other that. It made the whole thing less daunting, knowing that everything was out on the table."

However, the surgery was successful. Douglas shared an update via social media, saying, "Davina is out of surgery and, according to the surgeon, it was textbook. She's currently recovering in ICU as a precaution. As you can imagine, she's utterly exhausted."

But the challenges didn't end there. In November 2025, McCall revealed she had undergone surgery for breast cancer. She'd discovered a lump that "came and went," but a poster urging women to check their breasts prompted her to act. A lumpectomy followed.

Though initially "very angry" about the diagnosis, she later said she was in a "much more positive place." Throughout it all, Douglas remained by her side. Their relationship, already rooted in years of trust, deepened as they faced the unknown together.

As one insider simply put it, "[...] He really stepped up. It cemented everything Davina already knew — that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him."

McCall has called Douglas her everything, and now, after years of friendship, love, and survival, they've made it official — on their own terms, and at exactly the right time.
