The renowned comedienne spoke candidly to People and shared her philosophy of handling meanness from strangers.

She recalled that she had to deal with a lot of negative and rude comments after the release of the 2016 film Ghostbusters, in which starred alongside Kristin Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon.

The 47-year-old celebrity shared that every time she would come across someone saying mean things about her, she would wish for them to feel better in life.

McCarthy stated that she taught her children to realize that a person who is being mean is probably unhappy from within.

In her view, only sad people would be rude to others. Happy people, on the other hand, tend to give compliments and be kind to others.
