Osmond also took the opportunity to pay tribute to her mother-in-law, Charlene Louise Bodmer Craig, on her official website. She credited Charlene for teaching her how to 'run a clean and tidy house.'
According to Osmond, Charlene spent her life upbuilding other people and dedicated her time to humanitarian causes. She also went out of her way to care for stray, abandoned and abused animals.
Charlene never spread malicious gossip or spoke unkindly of anyone. She was a hard-working woman who taught her children to benefits of being thrifty and compassionate.
Osmond added that her sisters-in-law are 'amazing women' who take after their mother. She is honored to be part of the family and hopes to instill the same values in her children.
The veteran actress made a name for herself in 1976 when she joined Donny & Marie as a show host. She appeared in 78 episodes before moving on to The Gift of Love and Side by Side.
