Marie Osmond paid a touching Mother's Day tribute to her late mom

The 58-year-old singer and actress, Marie Osmond, is best known for her rendition of the 1970's song, Paper Roses.

On Sunday, she shared a collage of her mother with her 113,000 Instagram followers. It received more than 4,000 likes in less than 24 hours! Her mother Olive May passed away in 2004.

Osmond wrote in the caption that her mother was a 'woman of tolerance' who set 'living examples' for Osmond and her eight brothers.

'I cannot express my gratitude enough for my exceptional Mothers whose positive influences affected my life immensely.'

Osmond also took the opportunity to pay tribute to her mother-in-law, Charlene Louise Bodmer Craig, on her official website. She credited Charlene for teaching her how to 'run a clean and tidy house.'

According to Osmond, Charlene spent her life upbuilding other people and dedicated her time to humanitarian causes. She also went out of her way to care for stray, abandoned and abused animals.

Charlene never spread malicious gossip or spoke unkindly of anyone. She was a hard-working woman who taught her children to benefits of being thrifty and compassionate.

Osmond added that her sisters-in-law are 'amazing women' who take after their mother. She is honored to be part of the family and hopes to instill the same values in her children.

The veteran actress made a name for herself in 1976 when she joined Donny & Marie as a show host. She appeared in 78 episodes before moving on to The Gift of Love and Side by Side.

In 2012, she hosted an eponymous talk show, and also appeared as co-hostess on The Talk from 2012 until 2016.
