It is believed that the network may have decided to bring back the show after a successful reboot of Roseanne.

The show follows the life of Mike Baxter, a married father of three girls, as he tries to maintain his manliness in a world increasingly dominated by women.

The show also stars Nancy Travis, Jonathan Adams, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders, and Jordan Masterson. Created by Jack Burditt, Last Man Standing is produced by 20th Century Fox Television.

During the 2016-17 season, the show averaged 8.3 million viewers in Live + 7 ratings. It came second in the most-watched comedy category for ABC. During the same season, it was ranked No. 1 new program across all syndication.
