Carrie Underwood shows off bikini body in a new snap since recovering from injury

The 35-year-old singer, songwriter and designer, Carrie Underwood, is ready to face the world after her scary fall and showed off her beach body.

She shared a photo to Instagram that showed her relaxing next to a pool. Underwood wore a bikini from her activewear range, Calia By Carrie.

In the caption, she simply wrote 'summer vibes' and added a string of emojis. Within five days, the image received more than 400,000 likes and 2,600 comments.

Underwood is gradually returning to the limelight since she slipped and fell at her Nashville home in November last year.

She was rushed to the hospital with a broken wrist, which required minor surgery, and needed more than 40 stitches to her face.

Underwood was released later that day. She recovered from home and remained out of the spotlight for more than five months.

Despite the extended recovery period, she is still insecure about her appearance and refrained from posting any close-up images on social media.

She only took to the stage again when she gave an emotional performance at the Acadamy of Country Music Awards on April the 16th.

In several of her photos, she either turned one side of her face away from the camera or asked the photographer to shoot it from a distance.

Fans can look forward to the release of her next album, Cry Pretty. David Garcia is co-producing the album with her, and it will be available from September 2018.
