ABC’s award-winning show on food and lifestyle, The Chew will not return for another season, as confirmed by the hosts of the program.
The show has completed 6 successful seasons, and the current one is scheduled to end in September this year. Carla Hall, Michael Symon and Clinton Kelly confirmed this news with fans on social media.

Kelly shared a short message with his online fans, expressing his gratitude to them for their supportive messages. While he admitted that the cancellation was unfortunate, he added that it was a normal part of the entertainment business.
On behalf of the other hosts, Kelly wrote that the team would miss the opportunity to inspire people to try new trends and share a laugh with them.
That said, the 49-year-old asserted that he looked forward to keeping the enthusiasm up till the very end of the show, and shared that the cancellation would be discussed in an upcoming episode.
In a separate post, Symon also thanked the entire team who contributed towards the show and the loyal viewers who watched the show daily.
Depicting the spirit of the show in his message, Symon stated that he looked forward to trying something fun and new after the show was completed.
Apart from the crew and the viewers, co-host Hall had a third group of people to be thankful for. In a heartfelt post, she wrote that she was grateful for the chance to befriend incredible people over the show’s seven years.
Hall also mirrored Symon’s optimism about the future, stating that she was excited about taking on new adventures.
The Chew premiered in 2011, and had suffered two major blows last year. Last August saw the exit of former host Daphne Oz, and in December, host Mario Batali was fired over sexual assault allegations.
