Solange Knowles shows off some skin in black cutout ensemble with utility belts
Solange Knowles is known for her unique style and taste in fashion and she brought some of that greatness into a recent event to raise funds.
Solange Knowles was the guest of honor on Monday night at the Parsons School of Design gala in NYC and she came in looking the part. Being the guest of honor, the artist, 31, walked in last accompanied by fellow artists Kelela and Dev Hynes and immediately commended attention partly for her outfit and then for the grace she brought into the room.
Knowles was dressed in a cutout black outfit that featured utility belts. She teamed the unique ensemble with a pair of strappy heels and silver earrings and pulled back her dyed haired into a ponytail.
The 70th annual Parsons benefit was in honor of The New School scholarship program that educates students who can’t raise school fees. Cocktails and dinner were at Pier Sixty in Chelsea and those in attendance included Gucci president Marco Bizzarri, and Farfetch founder Jose Neves.
Artists including Erika Badu and Pharell shared beautiful words about Solange’s work and she took to Instagram to express her gratitude at the chance to give back.
“I couldn’t even believe it was real. im gonna continue to strive and live up to those words now. u all are my literal idols, u left the blueprint, and u taught me how to be me when I didn’t have the language or the tools...I’m eternally grateful...to the students of @parsonsschoolofdesign you are ALL the real winners. You are all so exceptionally talented and I can’t wait to see you all out in the world to doing the incredible work you are destined to....students like Shanel Campbell@shvny, who I wore last night, who are truly continuing to shape and mold the way we see the world , being unafraid , disruptive, working through corcumstances and pressures and fears unknown to us ....and leading the way as the new faces of fashion music art and design...”
Doesn’t she look lovely?
