Boris Kodjoe's wife of 13 years shared rare photo from their 'royal wedding'

Boris Kodjoe and his wife, Nicole Ari Parker, are considered by many as “couple goals,” but they have talked in several occasions about the real struggles they face in their daily lives, like any other married couple. Parker recently shared a rare pic from their dream-like wedding, and she referred to the even as a “Royal wedding.”

Celebritist was lurking around Nicole Ari Parker’s Instagram account and we stumbled with a beautiful photo she shared of her wedding day 13 years ago with fellow actor Boris Kodjoe, whom she met on the set of the series “Soul Food.”

Boris and Nicole have two kids: daughter Sophie Tei-Naaki and son Nicolas Neruda, and their beautiful relationship has been one of those rare ones in Hollywood, considering the fact that they haven’t had any kind of dramas or cheating scandals along the way.

Speaking to the NY Post a few years ago, Nicole opened about their wedding day, as she revealed that it was everything she ever dreamed of. Originally, they were supposed to tie the knot in Los Angeles, in a ceremony with over 350 guests, but after considering their options, they flew their closest family and Friends to Germany for a fairytale-like wedding.

She said:

“I always wanted a fairy-tale wedding and where he’s from, it’s like a storybook. A mountain town in the Black Forest. I was waiting for Hansel and Gretel to come out. I had a horse and carriage. My dad gave me away. We got married in a 900-year-old church. The women from the Bavarian houses with the wooden shutters threw roses on us as we walked through the cobblestone streets. We had 85 guests. Perfection.”

Nicole just shared a beautiful shot of that special day on her Instagram account, a few days after the Royal Wedding between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took place, and she wrote in her caption:

“A #RoyalWedding Indeed. On our way to 13 more. The happiest day ever... 5/21/05. Happy 13th Anniversary Babe. #wedidthat #intheJohnFluevogwhitesilkboots #WhyYouSoFineEvenKneelingFromTheBacktho.”

Speaking to MadameNoire about the struggles of their relationship, Nicole also revealed they have the same rough patches that any normal couple would have, saying:

“Boris and I fuss about the same regular stuff married people fuss about. Our work situation doesn’t make or break that. He’s still a husband who doesn’t listen to his wife. He can’t hear me when the game is on. He always gets the wrong thing at the grocery store. Same old, same old.”

Nicole Ari Parker looked stunning on her wedding day, and we’re glad to know that she and Boris are still going strong 13 years later. We wish a long-lasting marriage filled with happiness and love.
