The 36-year-old new mom rocked a black one-piece swimsuit in her latest cover which she posted on her Instagram along with a caption revealing her excitement and crediting those who helped her look fabulous.
“Excited to be on the cover of the July Issue of @bazaaruk which celebrates the power of women! Out tomm! #BeingSerena hair @angelameadowssalonmakeup @natashagrossmakeupartist”
The tennis superstar showcased her well-toned legs as she modeled a figure-flattering swimsuit which she matched with a black cover up worn partly on one shoulder. Her tousled kinky hair was tossed to one side revealing more of her glowing face as she stood and smiled against the backdrop of sky, sea and sand.
The magazine cover’s title ‘Queen Serena: The Power and the Glory’ was a fitting representation of the famous athlete along with the subtitles ‘Be The Heroine of Your Life’ and ‘Beauty and Strength.’ No one could translate such qualities like the powerhouse mother, wife and celebrated tennis player can.
On a separate post, Serena also shared another option for her cover photo where she’s covered up in athletic gear. Still standing against the same coastal backdrop, this time she fashioned a black-white-and-red long sleeved wet suit paired with black trainers. She appeared to be running when the photo was taken as her windswept hair moved to one side.
Just a day earlier, the returning tennis champ wowed audiences wearing a black cat suit on her first round at the French Open where she beat Czech tennis player Karolina Pliskova. She posted a photo of her look as she geared herself to win her first match.
Meanwhile, her husband Alexis Ohanian, had another thought going on his mind when he saw his wife’s outfit. It reminded him of the Black Panther’s vibranium-enhanced suit and he even mentioned it in a separate post where he gushed about his “supermama.”
Serena also welcomed her first child Olympia nine months ago, prompting her to take a hiatus from tennis to be a full-time mom. She admitted she almost died giving birth to her child but the fact that she didn’t is truly a testament to the kind of power and strength she truly has.
More of her life is currently featured on her new documentary series 'Being Serena' which airs on HBO.
