
One of NASCAR's most famous families welcomed a beautiful baby
Kyle Petty, son of Richard Petty, and his wife welcomed their first child together and shared a picture of him with fans and followers.
58-year-old Kyle Petty shared a photograph of his fourth son, Overton Owens Petty, on Twitter. Overton was born on Sunday and Kyle shared that the mother and the child were doing health.
Overton is the first child between Kyle and his second wife, Morgan Petty. Kyle has three more children with his first wife, Pattie Petty, including 36-year-old Austin and 32-year-old Montgomery.
His eldest son, Adam Petty, lost his life on May 12, 2000, due to a skull fracture when he was practicing for the 2000 Busch 200. He was 19 years old.
The Petty family is a popular name in NASCAR. Kyle's father, the legendary Richard Petty, was dubbed as The King. He won the NASCAR championship seven times and has a record of winning 200 races across his career.
Richard's father, Lee Petty, was also a stock car racing driver and was one of the pioneers of NASCAR. Lee was one of the superstars in NASCAR and competed in the '50s and '60s.
Fans of the racing family congratulated Kyle in response to the photo he shared. One fan, Pamala Kiser, congratulated the family and commented that Overton was a handsome boy.
Another fan, Marti Humphrey, loved Kyle's choice for his son's name and said that Owen was a beautiful baby. Netizen Janet Webb said that there is no 'correct' age to be a parent and congratulated Kyle and Morgan.
Kyle and Morgan got married on December 12, 2015. Morgan works as an executive director of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America, while Kyle continues his role as an analyst for NASCAR America.
The couple had announced in December 2017 that Morgan was pregnant with her first child. The expressed their excitement to welcome another member to the Petty family, as reported by Country Music Family.
