Blake Shelton says he loves Hoda Kotb while co-hosting 'Today' show from Nashville

The Voice judge Blake Shelton co-hosted with Hoda Kotb on the fourth hour of the Today show and told him he loves her.

Kotb was beaming with joy as she spent the entire hour with Shelton on June 6, 2-2018, as the country crooner sat in for Kathie Lee Gifford.

The pair were at Shelton’s new bar called the Ole Red in Nashville for a pre-party for the 2018 CMT Music Awards. Kotb shared the special moment in a series of photos on her Instagram profile.

It has been known to Kotb’s fans that she has a big crush on Shelton ever since. During the time they spent together, Kotb was clearly very happy and gushed that it was her “favorite day ever.”

As for Shelton, he gushed, “I have been thinking about this forever. I have been dreaming about this for months. I love you. I love you. I love you.”

As soon as Kotb heard those three words, she was smiling from ear to ear.

The pair were seated on a rectangular table with a red-and-white checkered cloth on top. They were both sipping on wine and shared laughs together the entire time.

Prior to the hosting gig, Kotb stood right outside the bar with a guitar and wore a cowboy hat. She sang Garth Brooks’ Friends In Low Places.

Since Shelton is a judge on The Voice, he critiqued the Today co-host’s performance and said, “I thought you were great. I thought you were awesome. I think you need to work on timing and your pitch and maybe your actual tone a little bit, but you look like a star.”

Even though Kotb had been together with her partner, financier Joel Schiffman, for a long time, she has been very vocal when it comes to being a huge fangirl of Shelton’s.

In fact, in the past, she once left Studio 1A while carrying a cardboard cutout of Shelton. She posted the hilarious shot on her Instagram with the caption, ‘Oh nothing. Just crossing the street with [Blake Shelton]. Totally normal.’
