A flood of tears after grandma-to-be unwraps her daughter's surprise pregnancy reveal

Dolly Lively couldn't hold back her tears upon learning that she would soon be a grandmother.

Her son, Todd Holcombe, and his wife, Tessa, surprised her with the pregnancy reveal on Mother's Day.

In a video posted to YouTube on June 5, 2017, Dolly, a factory worker, can be seen unwrapping a mystery object concealed in a bundle of tissue paper.

They were inside a restaurant in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Dolly thought she was simply being taken out for a meal by her son. What she didn't know was that her son and daughter-in-law prepared a surprise for her.

"Are you sure there's something in this?" Dolly can be heard saying in the clip as she unfolds the bundle of tissue paper hiding the surprise.

After a while, she finds the surprise item: a pregnancy test kit. When she sees that it is a positive result, Dolly's tears start streaming down her face.

She covers her mouth as she tries to control her emotion. She is filled with joy and disbelief.

"I love you so much," she tells her son and daughter-in-law, both of whom were also moved by her reaction.

Dolly had waited for 20 years to become a grandmother, so it was an emotional moment for her.

Todd and Tessa made sure to make the pregnancy reveal special and memorable because they knew how much it will make Dolly happy. They knew how much she longed to have a grandchild.

Indeed, babies are not only a source of immense joy for parents but for grandparents as well. It comes as no surprise that grandparents pamper children more than the latter's parents.
