The Hollywood Reporter stated that O’Neal had a history of using drugs and having legal troubles. One of the charges he’s facing is attempted murder.

O'Neal, 33, was charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney with one count of attempted murder, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He’s also facing charges of one count of criminal threats, one count of brandishing a knife and one count of battery, according to Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

It’s been reported that O’Neal allegedly began his attacks on passersby May 2 and continued through May 5. The incidents occurred in the Venice Beach and Palms neighborhoods.

He allegedly attacked a number of people who made eye contact with him. The suspect is said to have stabbed a Venice man in the side on May 4.

Later that night, he allegedly stabbed another man numerous times in the nearby area. Both victims sustained serious injuries.

On Friday, O'Neal was arrested following an armed robbery. He was identified as the suspect in the 7-Eleven robbery according to the police.

The charges include two counts of possessing a controlled substance and one count of assault with a deadly weapon. O'Neal remains in custody at the Los Angeles County Central Jail.

Did you know that it wasn't the first time that he broke the law? Redmond was ordered to join a one-year rehabilitation program after allegations of gun and heroin possession in 2011.
