A 173rd Airborne Brigade paratrooper who was found dead in his barracks on Caserma Ederle on June 1 has been identified as Staff Sgt. Krasean Clayborn, 36.

As reported by Stripes, there is no foul play suspected in Clayborn's death, but a spokesman for the 173rd Airborne Brigade has said that an investigation has been launched into it.

The chain of command at the Caserma Ederle Barracks had gone looking for Clayborn after he had failed to pitch up to work. It was then that his body was found in his barracks.

Clayborn first inlisted in the United States Army in 2003 in Milwaukee. He then joined the brigade in 2016. He worked as a career counselor, and even received an Army Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.

The paratrooper is not the first to be found dead in the barracks on Caserma Ederle. Just last year August soldiers found the body of 21-year-old infantryman Pfc. Andrew Young dead in his barracks.

After an investigation, Army officials declined to release Young's official cause of death, but stated that no foul play was involved.
