11-year-old girl died from asthma attack shortly after mother's funeral
A family had hardly recovered from the loss of one beloved member when they suffered an unexpected death of an even younger member.
Only six weeks after the sudden death of her mother, the 11-year-old girl passed away after suffering an asthma attack. She was returning home from the funeral of her mother, Mary, who was known to her friends as Chiney.
In a crowdfunding appeal for Syira's family from Mary's friend Anne-Marie Riddle, she explained how the little girl had a serious Asthma attack on the car and was driven to the hospital.
But while the doctors attended her, she had another major attack and was never able to recover from it. She had celebrated her 11th birthday only a month earlier.
'I am broken to have lost a dear friend and now her little girl so tragically and suddenly,' Riddle wrote in her crowdfunding appeal on JustGiving page
She further admitted that the entire community associated with Syira's school was reeling while the young girl's family was 'utterly devastated' with grief.
'She was the sweetest, dearest little girl. Loving and smart and funny with wonderful manners and always smiling,' Riddle added.
About the family, who suffered two heartbreaks one after the other in a row, Riddle wrote that losing their mother and sister in such a short space of time has destroyed them.
She concluded her heartfelt tribute by writing, 'We all adored you Syira. Your classmates and their parents are absolutely grief stricken. We will never forget you, darling girl.'
Similarly, another friend, Jackie Nugent also opened up in the crowdfunding page about the 'totally heartbreaking' deaths and wrote that maybe the mother 'needed her baby girl and her baby girl needed her mummy.'
