'The Ranch' trailer reveals pregnancy of central character
The Ranch, an award-winning TV series starring Ashton Kutcher and Sam Elliott, returns to the small screen this week with surprises galore.
The trailer for Part 5 was released on Netflix's YouTube channel earlier this month and reveals that the Bennett family grow in more ways than one! For starters, there will be a wedding.
We learn that Kutcher's character, Colt, will tie the knot with his girlfriend Abby, portrayed by Elisha Cuthbert. The trailer also shows that Abby is pregnant. She blurts the information out while trying to diffuse a tense family dinner
Her baby bump can be seen throughout the 2-minute trailer and in the season's promotional images as shared on Netflix Life.
The trailer also shows Colt and Abby making wedding arrangements, with Abby saying she doesn't want to be "a white trash bride" with a baby bump.
Instead, she wants to be line dancing with Colt while drinking whiskey out of a bottle, to which Colt responds that it "still sounds like white trash."
True to form, the Bennett family will do what they do best: make viewers laugh. However, the trailer takes a severe turn when a wildfire threatens their livelihood.
The Bennet family home is ruined in the fire, and they are unsure how to survive the financial burden of rebuilding the ranch, as well as raising a newborn.
Abby's parents also featured in the trailer, as does actress Nancy Travis, who is known for her portrayal of Vanessa Baxter in the sitcom Last Man Standing.
Noticeably absent from the trailer and the promotional images, is Danny Matherson. He was fired in December after several women accused him of sexual misconduct.
He will still be seen in a few of the upcoming episodes but was removed from the trailer and all promotional images released by Netflix.
The Ranch Part 5 returned on June 15th. Ten episodes were released, with another ten scheduled for later the year. For more information about your favorite TV shows, follow AmoMama USA on Twitter.
