'DWTS' pro-dancer Val Chmerkovskiy engaged to girlfriend after proposing in Italy

Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson are finally engaged. The Dancing With The Stars professional dancers announced the news on Thursday via social media.

Johnson took to Instagram to share a picture of her fiancé proposing. Just last month, she had joked that time was going by for him to propose.

The marriage proposal for the two stars occurred in Venice, Italy. On Thursday, Val Chmerkovskiy declared on Twitter, ‘I can’t wait to make you my wife…’

His post was accompanied by two images of his proposal. In one image he was seen kneeling and supposedly asking Johnson to be his wife.

She was seen covering her mouth in shock. The next image showed her kissing him while he still kneeled and it appears that she had agreed to marry him.

Johnson also shared the first image of their proposal on Instagram. She captioned her post, ‘I knew the moment I met you, you were the man of my dreams and I wanted to be with you forever.’

‘Babychka Мой любовь thank you for making my fairytale come true today! Cannot believe I get to call you my FIANCÉ!!!! #engaged.’

Their engagement comes just over a month after Johnson hinted that she was waiting for a proposal from Chmerkovskiy. During a Facebook live interview with Entertainment Tonight, Johnson joked that time was "a-ticking" for him to ask her for her hand in marriage.

She shared that they would see if an engagement was on the cards anytime soon. The star had revealed at the time that they both had very big things happening and she would be patient.

She added in the interview that maybe they would go to Fiji. A few hours after the interview aired, Chmerkovskiy admitted via Twitter that he should definitely marry her.
