Montel Williams shares health update after suffering medical emergency
Montel Williams shared a health update after suffering a medical emergency that landed him in the hospital last month.
The US veteran turned TV personality took to Instagram to give an update regarding his injuries, posting a video explaining what he has been doing.
"I'm back. I have more rehab to do so I can get back in the gym, but I'm back. We've been dancing up and down the hall every now and then."
The video shows Williams showing off his dance moves during a physical therapy session, even playing catch with a doctor while walking down a hallway.
Montel is known for having a social media account boasting of a healthy lifestyle despite being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He was rushed to the hospital a few weeks ago after he "over did it" at the gym.
Before ending his video, he thanked his fans, followers, and supporters for all the prayers and well-wishes that they have been giving him.
“Thank you all for the messages, the calls, the prayers. My family and I will never forget the outpouring of support. I am where I am because of each of you.”
As previously reported here on Celebritist, Williams had to be taken to the hospital after straining himself too much while working out. In order to let people know that what had happened is not too severe, his spokesperson Jonathan Franks said that he was admitted "out of an abundance of caution". He also commented that Williams was recovering well, and that he was set to be discharged soon.
Williams, 61, was doing dumbbell squats when he started feeling like something was not okay. He went back to his room to rest, but he realized he needed medical attention, so he called 911. Emergency responders arrived at Williams' room in less than 5 minutes, which made him and his family extremely grateful.
