Kimora Lee Simmons shares family pic with two daughters and son who look nothing alike
The model and mother of four traveled all the way to Greece with her three eldest kids to work with The Unmentionables organization on World Refugee Day. Her daughter Aoki shared some beautiful words about the trip.
Kimora Lee Simmons is the proud mother of four kids from three different men. Her eldest daughters, Ming and Aoki Lee, are the fruit of her marriage to Russell Simmons, and while Ming is the vivid image of her mother, Aoki resembles her father.
She also has Kenzo, who just celebrated his 9th birthday, from her relationship to actor Djimon Hounsou, and last but not least, Wolfee Lee, her three-year-old son with current husband, Tim Leissner.
Even though the kids look nothing alike, they all have an incredible bond. Recently, they joined Kimora on a special trip to Athens, Greece to help raise awareness about refugees with The Unmentionables, an organization that Lee has been supporting for years, and that named her as their Global Ambassador in April.
Kimora shared on Instagram a beautiful photo alongside Ming, Aoki, and Kenzo wearing matching black t-shirts with the logo of the organization on it. She explained on her caption that the motive of their family trip was to experience World Refugee Day at the Athens Resource Center while meeting members of the forcibly displaced community and helping to raise awareness about the refugee crisis in Europe.
Aoki, 15, who’s known for being a smart lady who’s never afraid to voice out her opinions on world matters on social media, shared some pics of the trip. In the shots, she’s seen playing with refugee kids while making a peace sign to the camera, and she took the chance to promote the organization’s work on her caption, writing:
“Stoked to be in Athens working with the @theunmentionablesorg at their refugee resource center. Helping to solve and raise awareness of some of the lesser recognized “unmentionable” issues associated with the refugee crisis. (And also playing with really cute kids). I’m excited to share more about my experience and the amazing work they do in the coming days! Check out their page @theunmentionablesorg and their site for more information and how you can get involved!”
Ming Lee, an aspiring model, also joined the party by sharing an artsy photo of two refugee kids walking at the Resource Center as she wrote in her caption:
“My summer vacation begins in Greece. My family is working with @theunmentionablesorg at its Athens Resource Center to hand out supplies to displaced refugees entering Europe – bringing some much-needed attention to this global crisis.”
According to The Unmentionables blog, the family got to help the organization’s staff on different activities like a yoga class, a baking class, a children’s art workshop, a gathering to watch soccer, and a ping pong tournament. They also attended a class about Sexual and Gender-Based Violence and had a night of food, music, and family.
We’re glad to know Kimora is instilling her kids the desire and willingness to help those in need. Their work can make a difference in the world if more people get inspired to follow their example.
