Angela Bassett flaunts her age-defying figure in bright pink ensemble
You couldn’t tell Angela Bassett’s real age just by looking at her appearance on a recent photo she uploaded on her page together with a couple of dancers from the American Ballet Theatre.
Bassett posed with dancers Herman Cornejo and Calvin Royal III, who are performers of the Swan Lake ballet production.
On the photo posted on the 59-year-old’s Instagram page, Bassett looked youthful in a bright pink ensemble.
The star opted for a flowy, hot pink top that was tucked in her high-waist, matching pants that were well-fitted on her hips. The outfit showed off the star’s age-defying figure.
Bassett chose to wear her natural, curly locks and completed her look with huge, hoop earrings. Follow us on Twitter at AmoMama USA to stay updated about the star’s fashion trends.
Recently, Bassett was honored at a luncheon for being a role model and for being a leading woman of color in the industry, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The annual event called Women of Excellence Scholarship Luncheon also gave the same honor to actresses Pauletta Peterson Washington and Latanya Richardson Jackson, together with the chairman and CEO emeritus of BET Networks, Debra Lee.
During the event organized by the Ladylike Foundation at the Beverly Hilton, Bassett shared empowering words to women of color all over the world.
She encouraged them to work hard to achieve whatever goals they set their minds to.
Sharing her experience, Bassett revealed that she pushed herself always to be prepared and to give her best.
She said, “For many years I kept my head down, I studied my lines and I did the work. Whether portraying a fiercely talented living legend, a matriarch of a superiorly talented family or even the queen of a distant land named Wakanda, that’s been my process and that still is.”
The actress hoped of inspiring her 12-year-old twins to carry on her work ethic and the way she perseveres to achieve her goals.
In 2007, she and her husband Courtney B. Vance had an interview with Oprah discussing their book, Friends: A Love Story, and shared the struggles they had in trying to have children.
They also debuted their twins who were still babies at the time.
