Kravitz has followed in both her mother and her father's footsteps and is forging a career as a model, singer, and actress.
She is also a tireless advocate of the Time's Up movement, and it was in support of the organization that she wore a black dress. The movement was launched by Hollywood celebrities as a response to the Weinstein scandal and #MeToo.
Time's Up's aim is to provide victims with legal recourse against sexual harassment. The cause has garnered over $20 million for its legal defense fund and gathered over 200 volunteer lawyers.
Kravitz pointed out that sexual harassment happens in every industry, where women are forced to submit to inappropriate advances out of fear of losing their jobs.
Kravitz believes that the joint effort of thousands of women from every walk of life will turn the tide and force changes in our society.
Her mother's screen father on 'The Cosby Show' - Bill Cosby, -once seen as 'America's favorite dad' was indicted and convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
