Céline Dion debuts fashion transformation on Instagram while in Tokyo

Céline Dion reveals her new blonde fringe hairstyle on Japanese visit

Celine Dion surprised her fans with a yet another startling transformation. The Canadian singer/songwriter posted a photograph of herself on Instagram on the 26th of June 2018 flaunting a new image.

Dion was wearing a daring JW Anderson frock with a bold graphic print, a Gucci scarf, Dior sunglasses and a pair of high heeled bright blue Yves Saint Laurent shoes.

The outfit was dramatic, but what really startled fans was Dion's hairstyle. The star's hair was cut in a short fringe, falling in waves over her shoulders, and was tinted a pale blond.

Fan's comments ranged from 'Are you Celine or are you Lady Gaga?' to a: 'Oh em gee! You don’t even look like Celine anymore!' One follower even asked 'Is this REALLY Celine?'

'But as everyone knows, I’ve gone through some extremely difficult times in recent years, and I suppose that I’m spreading my wings a little bit more these days and doing so with the help of beautiful clothing and accessories.'

Dion confessed that fashion has helped her reconnect to life after the loss of her husband René Angélil.

Dion was 12 when she met Angelil, who became her manager, her counselor, and her best friend. When she was 20 years old, Dion fell in love with Angélil who was then 46. Dion married him, on December 17, 1994. She was 24-years-old.

Angelil passed away in 2016 after 22 years of marriage, and two days later, her brother, Daniel, died at age 59, also of cancer, and Dion succumbed to a deep depression.

In January 2018 Dion was diagnosed with a middle ear condition and forced to cancel several concerts in Las Vegas so she could undergo surgery.

Dion has credited her enjoyment of fashion and the fantasy it has brought into her life has helped her overcome her depression and her problems.

Dion was once featured on several 'worst dressed' lists but now she has blossomed into her own unique style.
