Jordin Sparks melts hearts with new picture of newborn son and husband

The first-time-mom went to "different universes" while giving birth to her son, and now that she is getting used to motherhood, she has been sharing adorable photos of her little family.

The 28-year-old singer gave birth to Dana Isaiah Jr. last May 2, and she has been open to fans about her dramatic experience of having an all-natural delivery.

The American Idol winner, who was with her husband Dana Isaiah while giving birth, shared with People how her birthing moment was such an emotional experience for her.

"When I was going to different places and different universes with the contractions, he was right there in my ear or rubbing my back."

Aside from supporting his beautiful wife, Dana, who nicknamed his son as DJ, was responsible for catching his newborn child.

"I finished out the contractions on the bed and then we went to the tub. When it was time to push, Dana received him."

Proud husband Dana praised his wife for handling the situation like a "champ", saying that it was a great honor being there to support his wife during the life-changing moment.

"People have told me 'Once you see your wife like that you can never change the image in your head.' but I was so excited about him actually coming that I was just like 'All right, come on! Come on!'"

And when DJ finally arrived, the overjoyed parents "cried like little babies" for the first few minutes of his life.

"It was just that realising moment, that everything you had been preparing for was here in your hands. Every emotion that you felt throughout the entire pregnancy from start to beginning just 'Bam,' and it hits you."

Although it's almost been two months since she's given birth, Jordin admits that she is still trying to get used to the fact that she is now a mom.

The happy couple announced that they were expecting their first child in November, and have also gotten married after dating for several months.
