NTD Television shared the video of the amazed man on Facebook on June 13, 2017.

One cannot imagine what it would be like to see the world as though one is watching television in black and white. That has been the case for Smelcer for the last 50 years.

It was set to change on his 50th birthday as he received a very special gift. EnChroma makes special glasses for people with colorblindness who can now see the world in a whole new light.

Thanks to the glass the man could see colors for the first time in his life, surrounded by his family who filmed his incredible reaction.

Smelcer’s jaw drops as he puts on the special glasses. Someone points out the color pink, and he is confused straight away. The sight of his blue jeans is enough to impress the man.

He is ecstatic but is unable to express his feelings at the same time. He looks stunned as he gasps in joy.

He says, “Look at my pants! Blue jeans.” He is overwhelmed as the world opens up for him. He is unable to say anything and looks at the various things including the table, the box, papers, the roof, and even his own hands.

He stares in amazement at the green trees and bushes and the clear blue sky. He walks away to the lawn in front of a thick grove of trees. The man throws his hands up in the air and has tears rolling down his cheeks.

His wife, Delila, and his children share his happiness with him, reported NTD.

By the end of the video, Smelcer is in tears, unable to take in so many colors for the first time. The clip forces an individual to appreciate something many people take for granted.
