Wendy Williams dragged after sharing photos where she looks like Beyoncé
The TV host recently shared a series of photos looking classy and graceful. Many of her fans loved the shoot, but others criticized her for using “too much photoshop.”
By all accounts, Wendy’s year has not been easy. Between health scares and dealing with her husband’s alleged cheating, she's had a lot on her plate in the past few months.
Wendy Williams is one of those entertainers that people love to hate. Her sharp tongue and sly comments about other celebrities in the Hot Topics section of her show always manage to get her into trouble.
But her trademark has always been that she is brutally honest and never seems to know when to keep her opinion to herself.
The 53-year-old star recently shared a set of photos from an exclusive photoshoot done by Robert Ector in New York. The pictures reveal a relaxed but classy side of Wendy.
Wearing several different ensembles; a tight mocha dress, a white t-shirt with jeans, an off-the-shoulder black dress, and a pantsuit, Wendy showed off her modeling abilities in front of the camera and the results were stunning.
Many of her loyal fans even compared Wendy’s look to Beyoncé’s, but others dragged her on social media for using photoshop.
Twitter users mocked her for apparently having her feet “airbrushed” in one of the pics.
Williams remains unbothered about the ill-intentioned comments and has not replied, seeming to focus instead on her job, her health, and her family.
After fainting during a live broadcast of her show last October, Wendy was forced to take a three-week break from work when her doctor discovered in February that her Graves’ disease levels were off.
She reportedly wasn’t happy about the situation, but after leaving her health at the bottom of her priority list for so long, Wendy admitted she had learned her lesson.
Williams took the opportunity to spend time with her family, including her 17-year-old son and her husband, Kevin Hunter.
Last year, Hunter was accused of cheating on the star with a woman named Sharina Hudson. The Daily Mail published several pics of the pair walking around together and getting into the same car on various occasions.
Wendy stood by her husband through the allegations and made it clear that she wasn’t buying into the media hype.
“I stand by my guy,” she said on her show as she flaunted her diamond wedding ring to the cameras. “We commuted together this morning. The paparazzi were outside catching me in the cutest négligée. All is well in Hunterville,” she added.
“Don’t believe the hype. And if there was hype, believe me, I would let you know. And by the way, I’ll be following this story. So, I guess I’ll have to watch to find out what happens.”
It is not the first time that Wendy and Kevin face cheating allegations. She admitted that after giving birth to her son in 2011, she discovered Hunter was cheating but chose to forgive him and stay married.
“No, I’m not back to the girl that I was before him because when you get stung like that you never go back to who you were, only a fool does,” she told Vlad TV in 2013.
“But I love him, and he loves me. If you told me when I was 25 years old or 30 years old that I would stay around for a cheater, I would have been like you are lying.”
Wendy’s show just came back on TV after being temporarily replaced with re-reruns of the World Cup.
