Solange's teen son is the spitting image of his mother in videos spending time with his parents

Beyoncé’s little sister became a mom first then her, and today, her son is a handsome 13-years-old boy. Despite being raised on a family of celebrities, Solange made sure that the boy remained humble and down-to-earth, even if she had to discipline him sometimes.

Solange Knowles was just 17-years-old when she married then-19-year-old Daniel Smith. The same year of their union, she gave birth to her first and only child, Daniel Julez Smith Jr., who was not a planned baby, but Solange refers to him as a blessing.

Three years later, Knowles and Smith got a divorce. Afterward, she was trying to build her career while handling motherhood, and the situation became too much for her, as she revealed to Elle magazine last year saying:

“It was one of the most bittersweet moments of my life because I was so in love with Julez, and having spent a lot of time on the road, I yearned to be in one place, to have the opportunity to really ground myself with him. But it was isolating and lonely, and so cold and dark. And it was just Julez and me most of the time. It was hard to imagine being able to progress in my career in any way.”

Despite her struggles, Solange was able to find the perfect balance between raising her son and working on her dream of becoming a singer. Her sister, meanwhile, was riding the wave of success with her career.

Daniel Julez is a sweet mama boy, and to this day he also has a close relationship with his father and his half-sister. In fact, he recently enjoyed his mother, and aunt Beyoncé’s Coachella set in the company of his sibling, and they had an incredible time together.

Solange married director Alan Ferguson in 2014 in New Orleans, where Daniel goes to school. The 32-years-old admitted on an interview with “The Angie Martinez Show” a few years ago, that part of the reason why her son is so humble, is the fact that’s he goes to a regular school and is surrounded by sweet, normal kids that are disciplined.

Speaking about the luxuries that they boy is allowed, the singer mentioned that, at the time, he was only allowed to have an iPad, and just because it was a gift from his grandmother, Tina Lawson. However, a cellphone was off the table.

The interviewer mentioned that the boy wouldn’t need a phone when he’s flying private and enjoying a yacht in the middle in the middle of the Mediterranean, to which Solange said agreed.

She also mentioned that growing up in a black household, there are specific rules in the discipline, and she applies the same with the boy. “If he gets out of line and I’ve tried the three steps, which is like, the look and the talk is one, two is taking away something that is of value to him, and then three, if one and two didn’t work, you know.”

Daniel Julez has grown to become a smart, handsome young boy. And in recent posts shared by one of his dedicated fan pages on Instagram, the boy looks like the spitting image of his beautiful mom.

Even though Solange stopped sharing photos of her son on social media because of the ugly comments she got, there’s no doubt Daniel has charmed a lot of young ladies all over the internet.
