Mariah Carey looks baffled after son Moroccan puts plastic bag over head during performance
Mariah Carey showcases her mother’s instinct as she prevents her son from suffocation while singing on stage. The whole incident was caught on video.
What started out as a lovely serenade of a mother to her children on stage turned out to be a great scare for Mariah Carey whose son Moroccan stole the scene by placing a plastic bag over his head.
Entertaining her audience on her first comeback performance in Las Vegas on Thursday, the singer invited her kids up on stage to join her as she sang her favorite, ‘Always Be My Baby.’ 7-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, with plastic bags in hand, took the stage to hand out gifts to their mother’s fans while she sang to them.
When it appeared there were no more gifts to give, Moroccan peeked inside his plastic bag and decided to pull it over his head. His mother who was busy singing to his sister didn’t notice right away until she turned around to see his face covered in plastic. A mother’s instinct took hold of the songstress who immediately removed the bag and calmly told her son, “Uh-oh, never do that,” then proceeded to sing “You will always be my baby.”
The whole incident caught on video showed how Mariah swiftly juggled the act of mother and entertainer in that scary moment. Here’s the clip.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Mariah has had to deal with her son’s mischief. During her interview on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ in June, the 48-year-old diva revealed what a “technological genius” her son was, surprising her and his father Nick Cannon by ordering a dog online. The television host who was unaware of his son’s online purchase was astonished to receive a call informing him that his “dog [was] ready.” Replying to the caller that he didn’t order a dog, he later discovered it was Moroccan, who was six then, who placed the order.
Upon learning about the dog, Mariah told Jimmy she canceled the order explaining the twins already have dogs.
