Tyler Perry makes Tiffany Haddish 'cry so hard' after surprise $80k gift

The actress received an incredible gift from her director, and took to her social media account to gush about what an amazing gesture it is for her.

Tiffany Haddish has said since the beginning of the year that her favorite car is a Tesla and that she desperately wants to own one one day. Enter Tyler Perry, the director of her upcoming movie, Nobody's Fool.

Perry recently sent a selfie video to Haddish, which the 38-year-old actress later went and posted on her Instagram account. In the clip, Perry spoke about the hesitance of actors just breaking into the business when it comes to spending money.

So in the video he told her that it's alright to set aside some money to enjoy rather than just saving everything outright. But he also had a gift for her, and one she would not easily forget.

The Instagram post, which featured two videos and two photos, saw Perry finish off his rousing speech of encouragement by saying this: “I wanted to give this to you and say you deserve it and I’m excited for you and all that’s going on. Love you, Tiffany. Proud of you girl. It’s all yours, here in L.A. waiting for you.”

As he uttered these words, he wandered out of his house to show her what was outside in his driveway. As can be seen with the much better quality photos at the end of the post, it's a navy blue Tesla!

Haddish accompanied the videos and photos with a lengthy caption thanking Perry for his unfounded generosity towards her.

"This was just out the kindness of his heart And probably tired of me talking about it all the time and I didn’t have to do anything for it but a Great job in our New Movie Nobody’s Fool. Thank God for kind people that want to spread happiness," she wrote as part of her caption.

The actress also shared in the caption that she had bawled her eyes out when she had received the video from Perry. It is the first time she has been given a car outright, as she has always previously had to make payments on cars.

The actress already has 50 acting credits to her name, 6 writing credits, and 3 credits as a producer. Her most notable role to date was as Jackie on the first season of OWN television drama If Loving You Is Wrong from 2014 to 2015.

She recently shared on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that one of her life goals is to grow vegetables with Oprah Winfrey.

“One of my goals, girl, is to meet Oprah Winfrey,” Haddish said. “Then she’ll be my auntie, auntie O. And then we’ll both be gardening together! She got a good garden. She got yard!”

Haddish also grows produce in her own backyard, and feels like it would be a good bonding activity for herself and the media mogul to engage in.
