Singer and songwriter Keyshia Cole is getting a lot of backlash after uploading a photo where she admitted she was pregnant but the following day revealed it was a joke.

On July 5, Cole took to Instagram to share a picture of her herself wearing a skin-tight grey and brown outfit.

Even though her belly looked normal, several pregnancy rumors were surrounding the singer, so when she wrote ‘Preggo In My Fashion Nova Fit’ in the caption, everyone thought Cole confirmed the news.

While she didn’t say who the father was, everything suggested that rapper Niko Khale, who is 14 years younger than Cole, was the lucky one as they have been in a public romantic relationship for quite a long time.

However, on July 6, the singer uploaded another photo where she surprised everybody by writing in the caption that she ‘kinda apologize’ for saying that she was pregnant because it was not true.

Cole added that people should stop body shamming her by saying that she is pregnant every other day because it hurts her feelings.

Even though the singer might have thought it was a fun thing to do, several people, including her fans and followers, took to the comment section of the post that The Shade Room shared about it to share their thoughts.

One of them was Instagram user @ashleee_y, who pointed out that Cole was too old to be faking pregnancies and that now nobody could take her seriously anymore.

User @scyfy_art added that pregnancies were very delicate and that she shouldn’t have lied about it. @theonlyrsj chimed in and said that Cole was only seeking attention and that it was not a good move.

Cole is a mother already as she has an eight-year-old son, Daniel Gibson Jr., from the previous relationship she had with former NBA star Daniel Gibson. The couple was married from 2011 to 2017, but they announced their separation in 2014.
