Mother who beat elderly man with a brick has finally been arrested

Sherrif's officials arrested a woman for brutally beating up a 92-year-old man in Willowbrook.

As reported by ABC, the incident took place on the July 4 on the corner of 118th Street and Central Avenue. Eyewitness mentioned that a senior man, later identified as Rodolfo Rodriguez, was walking down the sidewalk and he passed a woman.

The witness said that for some strange reason, the woman got upset after seeing the old man. The woman pushed him to the ground.

She hit his head repeatedly with a concrete block. The woman was accompanied by a few men who also joined in the beatdown. None of the witnesses were able to explain the reason why the woman reacted violently.

The witness was able to get a picture of the woman walking with a little girl. In the photograph, she can be seen holding a concrete brick in hand. To watch the footage, click here.

The suspect was identified by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department as 30-year-old Laquisha Jones of Los Angeles. She was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon with a bail of $200,000.

The eyewitness recorded the aftermath of the brutal beating. The video showed a bloody and battered Rodriguez. He was admitted in the hospital and later released. Rodriguez had a lot of bruises on his face and a broken cheekbone.

The 92-year-old is recovering at home as his condition seems to be stabilizing.

The detectives have not identified a motive. Investigations are in progress as the detectives hope to uncover the weapon used soon.
