43-year-old woman risks her life to get world’s biggest hips
Bobbi-Jo Westley, 43, from Pennsylvania wanted nothing more than to hold a record for the world’s biggest hips. With only four inches to go in 2017, she expressed that not even her fear of dying was going to stop her.
Westley’s doctors have already explained to her at the time that her life was in danger. Although, Westley – who had her hips measured at 95 inches – was determined to surpass the 99-inch record held by Los Angeles local, Mikel Ruffinelli.
Talking to Barcroft TV, she exclaimed, “My hips are what makes me unique. It’s what makes me ‘me.'”
Because of her massive hips, Westley has gained popularity on social media and has had fans all over the world. In fact, they even buy and trade her pictures
Westley also has “crushing sessions” for her avid fans. They pay Westley money to have her sit on them and crush them.

Despite the fame and fortune that came with her unique body shape, Westley – a 5’2” woman weighing 542 pounds – admitted that it had taken a toll on her.
At the time of the interview, Westley was not permitted by her doctor to leave the house.
She said that her size had hindered her from doing various daily activities. Westley shared that going up and down the stairs, as well as passing through doors, was turning into a hassle since she has to turn sideways all the time.
Westley claimed that her extreme weight gain was caused by an underactive thyroid, which she found out she had seven years ago.
Although, Nadia Sharifi, her nutritionist, refused to believe Westley’s reason.
“It’s literally a life-or-death choice at this point. Hormones, or thyroid issues, or blood type or ancestry might play a little part, but ultimately it’s down to what we put into our mouth,” she said to Barcroft TV.
She added that Westley could have a blocked vein easily because of her massive weight. Sharifi said that Westley was a “ticking time bomb.”
As for Westley, she said she was aware of the risks – with her doctor suggesting gastric bypass surgery – but Westley exclaimed that she was still determined to hold the record.
She said, “I want to be remembered for something, and I think having the world’s biggest hips is what I was meant to be remembered for.”
