The portrait unveiling was made through Kensington Palace's official Twitter account, where millions of fans and followers of the Royal Family were able to enjoy the little Prince's sweet moment.

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was particularly proud of her bundle of joy and couldn't keep her eyes of the precious baby throughout the day.

Photographer Matt Holyoak was the man chosen to take the picture and he did a wonderful job capturing Middleton's shine as she gazed down at her 11-year-old son.

Mother and son posed together under a tree, and Louis, who was asleep for most of the day, chose that moment to wake up and stare at the sky as Holyoak snapped the photo.

All the photos of Prince Louis' christening were taken outside Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall's, house, known as Clarence House.

Middleton looked like a true princess that day, as she opted to wear an Alexander McQueen dress with a structured shoulder detail and a gorgeous headpiece designed by Jane Taylor.

Curiously, the mother-of-three also chose to wear McQueen's creations for Prince George and Princess Charlotte's christenings, which reveals that the Duchess is quite fond of the designer's work.
