According to the star’s Instagram for the coffee, the brand was released on July 5, to the world. The coffee brand will launch in September in Colorado.

Willie’s Reserve is a strain of marijuana which was launched by Texas legend Willie Nelson. Cannabidiol (CBD) was recently legalized in Texas for very specific cases that deal with epilepsy.

This means Nelson’s new Willie’s Remedy line of coffee won’t be accessible to people in Texas as it’s infused with CBD. A Monday news release by the Dallas Morning News’ Guide Live revealed the news about the coffee brand.

There will be 5 milligrams of CBD per every 8 ounces of coffee. Willie’s Remedy is expected to also include other CBD products.

CBD is said to not produce a high and has been praised for its health effects. However, like the psychoactive ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in marijuana, it remains illegal in Texas.

One can only obtain CBD with explicit medical permission. Currently, there are only three licensed dispensaries that can sell CBD in Texas and only if customers are patients suffering from a rare form of epilepsy and have a prescription.

"It's two of my favorites, together in the perfect combination," Nelson said in a news release. "Like coffee, cannabis is a plant that works for me."
