3-year-old boy suffers severe injuries after acid attack
A 3-year-old boy, whose identity is yet to be revealed for his own protection, was left seriously injured after being attacked with acid at a shop in the city of Worcester, in England.
The acid attack took place at the Home Bargains store on Saturday afternoon, July 21, 2018, and it is believed that it was a deliberate attack planned by a 39-year-old man.
So far, West Mercia Police has refused to share the suspect's name as the investigation is still in its early stages and they don't wish to compromise the case.
The man is believed to be from the nearby town of Wolverhampton and has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

Chief Superintendent Mark Travis, from West Mercia Police, said that, while the incident might shock the local community, they would like to reassure its residents that the proper authorities are carrying out a thorough investigation.
It has also been revealed that the motive of the vicious attack is still unclear, but that the police is currently working hard on establishing a connection between the suspect and the victim.
The authorities are on the lookout for three men that appear on the CCTV footage released to the public. It is believed that the trio might have some valuable information regarding what happened inside the store.
Police are urging people to take a look at the images to see if they are able to recognize any of the three individuals that were at Home Bargains at the time of the attack.
The 3-year-old was immediately transported to the nearest hospital, where he is being treated for severe burns to his face and arms. Adrian Gregson, a Worcester City Councilor, has condemned the 'appalling' acid attack and claimed it to be intentional and carefully planned out.
In March 2018, Derrick John, a 17-year-old from Croydon, south London, was found guilty of throwing a corrosive liquid through the visors of six moped riders in hopes of stealing their scooters. He later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to ten and a half years in jail.
