A source revealed that filming was “on schedule despite George’s accident.” The change of location apparently indicates that they’ve wrapped up the Sardinia portion of the shoot.
At the beginning of the month, Clooney was rushed to the hospital after his scooter slammed head-on into a car that appeared to turn into his lane. A video of the accident, which was captured by a security camera, showed the star being launched into the air following the crash.
He landed on the road in a dazed heap. At a local hospital, he was released on the same day with non-life threatening injuries.
However, that didn’t prevent his wife, Amal Clooney, from staying by his side for several days after the accident. Another close source revealed at the time that both his and Amal’s families “were very worried and on the telephone reassuring one another, saying how lucky George was.”
Everyone was aware that he could’ve died. Fortunately, the actor, who had been en route to the Sardinia set, was wearing a helmet.
It was reported that the helmet cracked on impact at the time of the accident.
