Chrissy Teigen publicly slams Meghan Markle's dad after his 'embarrassing' comments

Duchess Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, recently had an interview with a publication where he once again spoke about his daughter. In the interview, he attacked his daughter.

Instead of Meghan speaking up for herself, fellow celebrity, Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter to address the matter. In her post, the star shared that she felt Markle was ‘embarrassing’ himself.

Thomas Markle recently had an interview with The Mail on Sunday. There he continued to express his frustration over the lack of contact with his daughter, Duchess Meghan, 36, since she married Prince Harry, 33.

He even claimed that Harry’s late mother Princess Diana “would have loathed the way I’ve been treated.” Chrissy Teigen, 32, finally had enough with him and posted on Twitter expressing that fact.

She found his behavior confusing and even asked, ‘What is wrong with him?’ During the interview, Markle called the Duchess of Sussex “cold” and claimed there was “no way of contacting my daughter” because “she’s cut me off completely.”

He claimed that she would be nothing without him as he had made her the Duchess she was today. Markle added that “it would be easier for Meghan if I died” because “everybody would be filled with sympathy with her.”

Markle seems to have had a change of heart since earlier this month he’d told The Sun that he was done giving interviews. This was a promise that he’d already broken multiple times.

Last week, he even told TMZ that he didn’t plan on disappearing. “Tomorrow is my birthday, 74 years old, and I’m enjoying the fact that I can make the entire royal family not speak and maybe I can get a laugh out of the Duchess,” he said at the time.

Markle, who lives in Mexico, last spoke to his daughter in May during the week leading up to her wedding. Despite this, he has claimed that he doesn’t think his daughter is having the easiest time adjusting to her new role as a member of the Royal Family.

He shared that he thought Meghan was terrified as he could see it in her eyes, her face, and her smile. Markle revealed that he’d seen her smile for years and knew what it looked like.

He shared that the one she was revealing now was a stage smile that was pained. However, Priyanka Chopra recently told People that her close friend was loving her new life as a Royal.

“She’s doing amazing,” said the actress, who was part of the star-studded guest list at the couple’s wedding. “It’s so nice to see.”
