Rick Fox is all smiles in recent picture with his son Kyle Fox

Rick Fox shares a moment with his son as they attend an event representing a passion they both share. The father and son who lived mostly apart have bonded over this passion despite their distance throughout the years.

Following his success in the NBA, Rick Fox became the first high-profile athlete to purchase a professional League of Legends team in 2015 he called Echo Fox. But prior to becoming an eSports team owner, he was especially fond of video games and eSports which he revealed in 2016, became a reason for him and his son Kyle to bond.

Because Rick and Kyle would often be apart during his NBA days playing for the LA Lakers while his son lived in the East Coast, he said they found time to connect with each other through online gaming. They would play games like World of Warcraft and later, League of Legends after Kyle introduced him to it.

A recent photo of the father and son reveals their common bond as they attended the ‘2018 Overwatch League Grand Finals’ at the Barclays Center together. An unshaven Rick posed alongside his smiling son, clearly enjoying the moment, sharing something they both love alongside DJ Khaled and Dylan Sprouse who also attended the event.

24-year-old Kyle is Rick’s son with Kari Hillsman, a woman he dated while still playing for the Boston Celtics. He also has a daughter, Sasha he shares with the only woman he married, Vanessa Williams. While that marriage lasted for only five years, their relationship remains amicable as they co-parent their daughter who’s now 18.

The couple recently attended their daughter’s high school graduation and proudly shared the milestone in their Instagram accounts. Rick posted a photo of the three of them taken after the rites and wrote,

“So proud of you @sashafoxyy !! Class of 2018 TheHarveySchool ~ Class Of 2022 Chapman University Program Coming Up!!!”

Meanwhile, Vanessa Williams posted a photo from the same spot but with the three of them laughing and captioned it,

“Proud parents of our graduate #sashafoxy”

Rick Fox clearly has a great relationship with his two children and that’s another achievement he could be proud of.
